"I'm Just as Country as Corn Bread!"
A very kind, understanding, professional and talented
gospel singer, Butch Hunt came to know the Lord when he was just 10 years
old. He began his gospel music ministry early in 2000 to tell
people about Jesus, Salvation, and how to have fun doing it!
Butch's first project was completed in 2001 at Angel
Mountain studio in Denton, Maryland, titled: "Our Father's Songs."
He has written or co-written many songs throughout the years. Several of
the songs have received airplay on different Gospel and Country
stations. Butch was blessed to win the "new artist" award for the
Eastern Division of the Country Gospel Music Association in 2004.
He has shared his music talents in Maryland, Virginia, Pennsylvania, New
Jersey, Tennessee and Branson, Missouri, opening for such artists as
Crossway, Skyline Boys, and Michael English. You'll often find Butch and
several of his friends, as well as family and fellow gospel artists,
sharing their musical talents to benefit local charities.
Butch Hunt makes his home in La Plata, Maryland, with
his wife Linda. They attend Maryland Point Baptist Church in
Nanjemoy Maryland, where he serves as a deacon. When Butch isn't
singing and sharing the word of God he can be found at
Hunt Ford in La
Plata, Maryland, where he, his son, Jeff, and brother, Rick, own and
operate the dealership.
